The Seattle Seahawks engineered a remarkable comeback to overcome the Los Angeles Rams in extra time, clinching their spot in the postseason.

Overcoming a sixteen-point deficit in the fourth quarter, the Seahawks emerged victorious 38-37 at home, notching their fifth straight win.

With this result, the Seattle have taken over their division's race with a 12-3 mark, replacing the Rams, who dropped to the number five seed with an 11-4 record.

Game Recap

Quarterback Sam Darnold threw two picks but recovered to deliver two scoring throws, culminating in the tying TD to star receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba in the extra period.

The Rams held a 13-7 lead at half-time before Kenneth Walker III burst through for a 55-yard touchdown run for the home side.

Los Angeles cornerback Josh Wallace then took back Darnold's first pick for a big return, leading to a short touchdown by Blake Corum on the next play.

In the fourth quarter, a touchdown from Stafford to Puka Nacua extended the Rams' lead to 30-14, but Rashid Shaheed ignited the hope with a 58-yard punt return.

Darnold then found AJ Barner in the endzone, and a converted conversion forced the contest into overtime.

Although Puka Nacua scored for his another touchdown in overtime, Jaxon Smith-Njigba responded in kind to set up the game-winning conversion.
